Claude (Anthropic)
Claude is Anthropic's family of large language models. SEODesktop supports the latest Opus, Sonnet and Haiku tiers and lets you pick per-query or set a default model.
Claude is the best pick for deep analysis tasks: SERP interpretation, competitor positioning, long-context keyword clustering.
Get an API key
- Go to console.anthropic.com and sign in (or sign up — new accounts get a small amount of free credit).
- In the left sidebar, click API keys.
- Click Create Key, give it a name (e.g. SEODesktop), and copy the key.
- Top up credit under Billing if you haven't already — $5 is enough for thousands of summaries.
Keep the key safe. Anyone with it can spend your Anthropic credit.
Configure in SEODesktop
- Open Settings → AI Providers → Claude (Anthropic).
- Paste your API key.
- Pick your default model. Recommended:
- Claude Sonnet 4.6 for most tasks — great quality-to-cost ratio.
- Claude Opus 4.7 for the deepest analyses and largest inputs.
- Claude Haiku 4.5 for fast bulk classification (thousands of keywords).
- Click Test connection. A successful test exchanges a small "hello" message so you know the key works.
- Click Save.
What it costs
Anthropic bills per 1M input + output tokens. Rough SEODesktop usage:

Privacy
Anthropic does not train on API inputs by default. Your queries go directly from SEODesktop to Anthropic's API — nothing passes through a third-party server.
